Marvenn was originally a farm cottage built in about 1850. Over the years it has been extended and refurbished, and now without detracting from its character and charm, provides comfortable and spacious family accommodation. It is situated in its own private gardens surrounded by farmland, and with stunning views to the cliff tops near Hartland Point.Marvenn is about a mile and a half from the village of Hartland and the coast, and approx 4 miles from the A39 Atlantic Coast Road. Hartland village has village shops for provisioning, Inns providing excellent home cooking, tearooms and a good variety of pottery and Arts & Crafts shops.
Marvenn is situated in an Area of Designated Natural Beauty and offers spectacular scenery, including rugged cliffs with fantastic volcanic rock formations, quaint harbours and stunning views of Lundy Island. The North Devon Coastal path at Hartland Point and the numerous footpaths and lanes that criss-cross the area, provide a paradise for walkers, birdwatchers and photographers
